Editor of TorySuccesses

Laura Blumenthal is a communications professional and a Conservative campaigner.

She spent a decade as an elected councillor in Berkshire, stepping down from Wokingham Borough Council in May 2024.

Laura stood in the 2024 General Election for Brentford and Isleworth in West London.

During the election she wondered why there wasn’t an online resource for candidates of recent Conservative achievements so they had the successes of the party at their fingertips. Laura went on to create it: TorySuccesses

Her favourite Conservative party successes are the Equal Franchise Act 1928 which granted equal voting rights to men and women, as well as having the first female MP to take her seat in the House of Commons in 1919: Nancy Astor, the MP for Plymouth.

Laura believes in freedom, responsibility and enabling everyone to fulfil their potential. Throw in humour , a ‘can do’ attitude and a slab of chocolate and you can’t go wrong.
